Wildfire Announce Tailgate, Beer at all 2017 Home Games

April 11, 2017

This week the Chicago Wildfire – the city’s only professional ultimate frisbee team – announced three major partnerships for the 2017 season with DeVry University, Great Lakes Ultimate Events (GLUE), and Last Call Tavern Group, which will unite to provide a tailgate event for each of this season’s seven home games. GLUE will be the official host of the events, Last Call will provide the beer and food trolley, and DeVry University house the unique pregame experience. Fans will be able to access food, beverages, and lawn games 90 minutes before opening pull through the 3rd quarter intermission.

“We’re excited to see the growing interest in the sport leading to new and renewed partnerships within the community,” said CJ O’Brien, owner of the Wildfire. “And while we’re glad that adults will finally have the ability to enjoy a beer before the game, we’re even more thrilled at the social opportunity this creates for people of all ages by expanding the gameday event, bringing fans in early to observe our pregame youth clinics, and just generally allowing people to engage with sport we’ve all come to love for the core values it emulates. It is and always has been our mission to facilitate a family-friendly experience around the game, and we fully expect to continue providing that experience while accommodating a growing fan base.” Fans from home and away will be able to enjoy a food trolley that offers everything you’d expect at a Midwest tailgate, while featuring original Chicago menu items for visiting fans to enjoy.

All seven of the Wildfire’s home games will be played at Lane Tech College Prep in Roscoe Village. The team’s season begins next weekend in Pittsburgh on April 22, with the first home game played at Lane Tech on May 13.
